Have you ever been engaged to be married? Do you remember having to decide if you wanted to “Commit”? Fear comes in, fear of choices, fear from thinking “do I want to be with this person the rest of my life”? “Is this the right person for me?”
Well, Christians need to decide in this Post Covid and present politically charged season, if they are willing to succumb to Apostasy or engage. Are you a Reactive Christian or a Proactive Christian? Churches will be drying up and closing down, because some Pastors did not engage in April and May, but allowed Mayors and Governors to dictate policy, rather than the Bible, common sense or their conscious. Imagine starting a building program years ago, signing for loans, congregation was strong, Church numbers growing, then like a thief in the night, Covid came in. Planned, schemed by the left or not, here it is in your face, affecting your work, play and Church life. Pastors looked around, compared themselves with themselves or other Church leaders and decided to shut down, (2 Cor 10:12), It all seemed so correct. Maybe they were thinking that they could go on a official sabbatical, after all Jesus understand how hard they work. So most chose to ride the Covid storm out, maybe have Internet Church (I call it synthetic church because it denies the Ordinances of Church such as laying on of hands, communion, bay dedications, baptisms etc). What’s amazing is the model of “our four walls” and thinking that people without being contacted or monitored would still keep tithing to an institution. So now we see desperation, numbers dwindling, cash flow issues increasing, all self-inflicted. Largely because most Churches do not understand the five fold calling (Eph 4:11-13). Apostles and Prophets help Pastors to keep the vision pure, accurate and the ship steady, when allowed.
Well the Church of the Living God, is not a building or man-made institution. The Kingdom of God is made up of people who are called to Rule and Reign on this earth.
Lets read scripture: 2 Timothy 4:2 Amplified Bible2 preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching.
It never ceases to amaze me how one or two people can make a difference. One or a few determined prayer warriors – Christians with a constitution can start a movement in the Spirit World.
So can one or two demonically inspired people. That’s why bad laws and policies flourish. When the watchmen or the Church slumbers and relaxes, the devil engages and enlist his agenda. What’s nice is when the Body of Christ wakes up concerning a demonic initiative and reverses their efforts to corrupt with the Keys given unto us by the Blood of Jesus. He is the Christ. He is the Anointed One, who sits at the right hand of the Father, thus instructing and commanding us to take the baton and Rule and Reign on this Earth and to engage principalities and powers (Eph 6:12) . There are forces behind people. Our issue is not primarily with people, but the demonic influences behind their decision making.
We have been given this authority: Matthew 16:19 Amplified Bible 19 I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth [a]will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth [b]will have [already] been loosed in heaven.”
In the opening paragraph I suggest that Christians are to Rule and Reign on this earth. This time of your being alive on earth, is a trial run! A practice scrimmage!
Let’s read the words of Jesus: Matthew 6:10 Amplified Bible ‘[a]Your kingdom come, Your [b]will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
So let’s get back to how God uses us. In war, front line troops are rotated in and out of battle. Soldiers pull some front line time to engage the enemy, then they are sent to the rear for some R & R and to be resupplied. Well this is what the Holy Spirit does as well. We are enlisted in God’s Army and when Holy Spirit sends new orders you are to engage. Right now the season is for Christian’s to get involved in the elections. You are to help promote Righteous Candidates.
